In many myths and folk tales, a hero is a man traditionally the protagonist of a story, legend or saga, who commonly possesses abilities or character far greater than that of a typical person, which enable him or her to perform some extraordinary deed.
These powers are sometimes not only of the body but also of the mind.
like the moment when your brakes lock
and you slide toward the big truck
and stretch the frozen moments with your fear
but you were not hearing their voices
and you were not seeing their faces
The mind tries to understand the possible decline of its heroics.
The body every moment recalls the decline of the mind.
Mind and body feel out of synch.
